*Global network design. Responsible for the design and implementation of international voice and data networks for large multi-national corporations.
*Proposal support. Provided the engineering to support major telecommunications outsourcing proposals.
*Designed/implemented/managed a 50 node, 45 country Cell Relay network for a major multi-national consumer products company. Provided the engineering for the Stratacom IPX backbone network, the X.25 network using Dynatech PADs/switches, the switched video conferencing network using the Ascend Multiband with PictureTel codecs, and a PBX//ETN network using the Ericsson MD110 matrix switch. This global network significantly reduced the operating expenses of this company and returned twice the saving originally forecasted with a 65% rate of return.
*Designed a 40 node, 20 country network for a major investment back which resulted in the award of a 80 million dollar/5 year contract to MCI. This design was for a seamless conversion for an existing Timplex network to NET IDNX within a one year period. This design also included complete network management along with an improved voice transport system for the bank's trader voice network.
*Local Area Network design. Designed and implemented a TCP/IP (Netware/IP) Novell V4.1 network. Designed and installed a Cisco router network consisting of Cisco 4500, 4000, 5100 and 2501 routers and a Synoptics/Bay network consisting of 5000 and 2813/2803 hubs. This network was implemented to support mission critical Lotus Notes applications.
